UniMovers is a company that was founded around building up local community leaders and helping them start their own company at very little start-up cost. One day, we started thinking How can we do more? We know that not everyone wants to start a moving company. Some people want to start detailing companies, cleaning companies, restaurants, storage companies. How can we help those people?

Simultaneously we had another problem on our hand. Our customers kept asking if we could recommend a cleaning service, a rental company, a realtor… and we couldn’t! So we decided to start a program designed around lifting up local businesses—together. To build a network of small local businesses in our community, and that’s how this got its start.

How it Works
Before applying, look at your business and make sure it’s a good fit. What are we looking for? Local businesses with a social mission who embody one or more of our core values. If you’re a good fit, apply! It’s a short and quick application if you know your business. After applying, we’ll take a look at your application and make sure you’re a good fit for the program. If you are already a big conglomerate this probably isn’t the right fit for you. On the contrary, if you’re a small local and highly-rated business looking to get a boost, you’ve come to the right place. You’re in! Once we’ve accepted you into our program we’ll add you to our network and make a profile for you based on your application. Once we’re finished, we’ll send you our local badge so you can add to your website with a link to the directory. Together, let’s grow.

We know there’s a ton of programs like this, but they all have one fatal flaw—they’re costly. We’re uplifting local, small businesses,  so we’ll never ask you to pay anything. Our goal is to connect consumers with small, local, like-minded businesses.

Local Artist Competition

If we’re building a local business network, we need an awesome badge to represent that network! If your an artist in one our communities, consider submitting your own, unique digital badge to represent your community.

The individual to create something that truly represents their community will receive publicity and credit for the logo, as well as a gift card to a local business.
