Book Now!Southwest Florida’s
Most Versatile Moving Crew
Fort Myers isn’t a one-type-of-mover market. It’s snowbirds arriving from up north every October, retirees making the permanent switch from Chicago or Detroit, and FGCU students rotating apartments every August. We move all of them — and we’re built for the specific rhythms of Southwest Florida.
Snowbirds & Seasonal Residents
Arriving Oct–Nov, heading home Apr–May
You rent the same condo every winter or you’re finally buying. Either way, you need a crew to get your furniture in and out without drama. We handle seasonal setups and packdowns across Cape Coral, Bonita Springs, Fort Myers Beach, and Naples.
Retirees & Permanent Relocators
Making Florida home — for good
Moving to Fort Myers permanently from up north? You’ve got a truck rental or PODS lined up, a new home in Estero or Lehigh Acres, and you need reliable, careful movers who treat your belongings like their own. That’s us — insured, flat-rate, no surprises.
Students & Young Professionals
FGCU, FSW, Keiser — moving on a budget
FGCU has over 15,000 students and a massive August lease-turn. FSW campuses stretch across Lee and Collier Counties. Our student movers know these areas because they live here — and at $65/hr they keep your move affordable.
Moving in Southwest Florida
Has Its Own Season.
No other moving market in America looks quite like Southwest Florida. The snowbird migration alone creates two massive moving windows every year — one heading south in the fall, one heading north in the spring. Layer FGCU’s academic calendar on top of that and you have a year-round surge of moving activity that most companies aren’t staffed for. We are.
Snowbird arrival season. Tens of thousands of seasonal residents from Ohio, Michigan, and Canada set up winter homes across Cape Coral, Fort Myers Beach, Bonita Springs, and Estero. Book 3–4 weeks ahead — this window fills fast.
Snowbird departure season. The reverse migration begins. Plus FGCU’s spring semester ends in early May, adding student move-outs to an already active period. Two major moving audiences moving in opposite directions at once.
FGCU fall move-in and the start of the academic year. Off-campus apartment leases turn over in August across South Fort Myers, Estero, and the FGCU corridor. Book at least 2 weeks ahead for August dates.
The quietest window of the year. Snowbirds are gone, FGCU is in summer session, and availability is highest. If you have flexibility on timing, summer is when you’ll get the best crew selection and fastest booking.
Movers from Fort Myers’
Own Universities
Every UniMovers Fort Myers crew member is a current student or recent graduate from one of Southwest Florida’s colleges and universities. These aren’t strangers shipped in from out of town — they live here, go to school here, and know this area because it’s home.
Florida Gulf Coast University (FGCU)
15,000+ students in South Fort Myers. Our largest source of crew members — Eagles who know the Estero corridor and South Lee County inside out.
Florida SouthWestern State College (FSW)
Multi-campus college with locations across Lee, Collier, Charlotte, and Hendry Counties. FSW students bring broad coverage of the entire Southwest Florida region.
Keiser University — Fort Myers

Hodges University
Fort Myers-based nonprofit university. Smaller student body but deeply rooted in the local Lee County community and workforce.
Cape Coral Technical College
Career and trade-focused students from Cape Coral — practical, hardworking, and familiar with the canal neighborhoods and waterfront communities of Lee County.

Moving Services in
Fort Myers FL
As labor-only movers, we handle the physical work — you provide the truck or storage container. Not comfortable driving a moving truck? A PODS container gets delivered to your door and we load or unload it for you.
We supply lifting straps, ratchet straps, and assembly tools. Moving blankets and dollies can be rented through your truck rental company. PODS vs. renting a truck — which is right for you?
Every Corner of
Southwest Florida
We cover all of Lee County and the surrounding Southwest Florida region. From the canal neighborhoods of Cape Coral to the gated communities of Bonita Springs, our crews travel across the area with no surprise fees for moves within Lee County.
Fort Myers & South Fort Myers
McGregor Blvd corridor, downtown Fort Myers, Page Field area, Cypress Lake, Iona, San Carlos Park, and the FGCU corridor on Ben Hill Griffin Pkwy.
Cape Coral
All of Cape Coral — from North Cape to South Cape, waterfront canal homes to inland neighborhoods. The Cape’s grid layout makes efficient routing easy.
Estero & Bonita Springs
Snowbird-heavy corridor along US-41 and I-75. Estero Island, Pelican Landing, Coconut Point area, and the Bonita Beach Road communities.
Fort Myers Beach & Sanibel
Island moves on Fort Myers Beach and Sanibel/Captiva. We know the bridge restrictions and island logistics that trip up mainland movers.
Lehigh Acres & North Fort Myers
East Lee County’s fastest-growing residential areas. Lehigh Acres, North Fort Myers across the Caloosahatchee River, and Cape Coral’s northern neighborhoods.
Naples & Collier County
We extend south into Naples, Marco Island, and Collier County. Contact us to confirm travel fee details for moves south of the Lee/Collier line.
