POSITION SUMMARY

Working as a Mover is an opportunity for you to cultivate new relationships and connections with people in your community; connections that you could use in your professional career.
As a Mover, most of your work will be assisting families moving into and out of their homes. You will be moving personal belongings and furniture, and it is your job to be the kind, trustworthy face of UniMovers. You have the opportunity and should aim to impact a customer’s life every day with your friendliness, work ethic, and overall camaraderie.

All movers must be able to pass a background check.
JOB REQUIREMENTS, QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
- Communicate well with customers
- Commit to a weekly schedule based on your availability
- Pick up moving jobs when available
- Be able to lift at least 50 pounds
- Possess the ability to work in a team setting
- Great interpersonal skills
- Strong work ethic & ability to work without constant guidance

BENEFITS:
- $15 per hour plus tips
- Average wage with tips across locations $24-$29/hr

POSITION SUMMARY
As a Project Manager, you will be in charge of recruiting and managing a team of movers to achieve all project goals within the given constraints. This is a significant opportunity to work on and oversee a large 6-figure contract.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES MAY INCLUDE:
- Cultivating new relationships and connections with people in your community
- Building partnerships between UniMovers and businesses, organizations, colleges, and non-profits
- Recruiting movers outside of the scope of this project
Acting as the lead mover on moves
In this position, you have the opportunity to be a real beacon in your community. You will act as a leader in the organization and in Cedar Rapids working with other organizations, businesses, and non-profits.

BENEFITS:
- $22 per hour plus tips ($7.78-$11.28 in tips on average)

We are seeking an individual who can commit to and evolve with the company in this role. A strong performance from the candidate could potentially lead to them taking on the responsibilities of Director of Operations and possibly owning their own UniMovers location.
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Social Media Manager is responsible for engaging past, present, and future UniMovers clients by planning, implementing, managing, and monitoring the company’s social media strategy in order to increase brand awareness, improve marketing efforts and increase sales.
JOB REQUIREMENTS, QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
- Access to a smart phone and computer
- Junior, Senior or Graduate with marketing degree or related field preferred, but not required
- Knowledge of Facebook, Instagram, Yelp, and Google My Business preferred

POSITION SUMMARY:
Our bloggers and journalists are genuine storytellers that help us grow our content and engage our readers. They are high-energy, self-directed, deadline-oriented individuals working to educate and inform about moving by researching and writing articles in an engaging style. They may also work with and interview owners and movers to write location-specific articles. This is a paid-per-project position. Most of our content creators make between $15 and $20/hour.
JOB REQUIREMENTS, QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
- Access to a computer
- Knowledge of basic SEO preferred, but not required
- A college student working towards a degree in English/journalism/communications is preferred but may be substituted with previous writing experience
- Experience with WordPress, content creation, and/or journalism preferred
- Experience with Slack and Trello preferred

This role involves establishing strategic partnerships, fostering relationships with key stakeholders, and driving business growth through effective sales strategies.
JOB REQUIREMENTS, QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
- Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field preferred (if current student that is OKAY)
- Knowledge of the moving industry or related fields is a plus
