The Northern Lights can be seen in Juneau every year from about mid-September to mid-April. Ketchikan – $2,000 per year per person + internet

  • 15 applicants are accepted each calendar year.
  • Next, finalists are interviewed by the program committee.

Come explore The Hoosier State! Home to Notre Dame, the Indy 500, and the Pacers. Currently, 10 cities within the state will pay you incentives to move there.

Bloomington – 3-year co-working membership to The Mill

Located southwest of Indianapolis, Bloomington is surrounded by forests and lakes. In addition, it is located near Indiana University, which fills the city with energy. Notably, their incentives package includes a membership to the community’s nonprofit center for co-working and entrepreneurship, valued at $2,200 annually. In addition, also receive concierge-level support in getting resettled and acclimated to the community.

How you qualify:

  • First, must be 18 years or older.
  • Currently reside outside of Indiana.
  • Importantly, must have full-time remote employment (or self-employment) for a business located outside of Monroe County.

Daviess County – $5,000

  • Note, the incentive is provided at the time and place of closing on the permanent financing of the home.
  • The value of the improvements (exclusive of land value) must be evidenced by an appraisal or assessment.
  • Also, the construction of the home must be fully completed, as evidenced by the issuance of a Certificate of Occupancy by the City of Newton. A radon remediation system shall be installed in the new home.

Topeka is the capital city of Kansas. It is flooded with murals and statues and is home to the Brown v. Board of Education National Historic Site. Wilson – Free lot of land to build a home

Located in Ellsworth County, Wilson has over 100 miles of shoreline. It is home to the clearest lake in Kansas, Wilson Lake. Currently, the city’s program will pay you in a free plot of land for moving to their area.

What cities in Kentucky will pay me to relocate?

The Bluegrass State gets its name from the flowing fields of bluegrass that are actually green but appear blue from afar. It nears the Ohio River and the Appalachian Mountains. Currently, one city offers new residents benefits through its incentive program.

Paducah – $2,500 reimbursement + internet

Paducah is located in McCracken County and is the largest city in the Jackson Purchase region. Twenty blocks in the city’s downtown area have been designated a historic district for the city. Notably, they will pay you cash for moving reimbursement expenses for moving there. In addition, they also offer $70 a month for an entire year to cover internet expenses, and a waiver of the City of Paducah 2% payroll tax for 12 months. Uniquely, to sweeten the deal, they provide tickets/passes, training, memberships, and/or experiences to a variety of Paducah’s cultural and educational institutions.

How you qualify:

  • First, must be 21 years old or older.
  • Be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, or have other credentials necessary to work in the United States
  • Also, Live at least 100 miles outside the limits of the City of Paducah at the time of application for the program.
  • Work full-time for a company in which all offices are located at least 100 miles outside the Paducah city limits.
  • Importantly, be able to perform a majority of their employment duties remotely.
  • Acquire primary residency in the City of Paducah within three (3) months.
  • In addition, agree to retain primary residence in the City of Paducah for at least 1 year after twelve-month program.
  • Note, must not be a participant in any other publicly-funded program.

Augusta – $15,000 tax rebate

Augusta is the capital city of Maine. It is nestled beside the Kennebec River, winding nature trails, and the Maine State Museum. Baltimore – $5,000

Baltimore is a major city in Maryland. It’s the setting for the musical Hairspray, remains an important seaport, and remains the state’s most populous city. Currently, they will pay you $5,000 in five-year forgivable loans to move in order to help new residents purchase a home.

  • Must live in the home as the primary resident.
  • Note, must contribute at least $1,000 of your own money to your home purchase.
  • Also, must earn a homeownership counseling certificate before making an offer on your home.
